The Oxnard Gem and Mineral show is this weekend November 21 and 22 at the convention center. Great exibits, a fun silent auction and many vendors. Last year I picked up a beautiful piece of petrified wood for the front garden and a clam fossile for a Christmas present. It’s free and it’s FUN!

Lunch with a View

Ventura's Marina
I had lunch at Milanos at the Ventura marina on Friday and the setting and the view made me feel like I was on vacation! We sat on the patio and had a view of the marina and the mountains. It was beautiful! Lunch was excellent as always. My favorite is the Pasta Roma. The smoked mozzerlla and the fresh tomatoes and basil are a perfect comibnation. The Spa salad was big enough for two and the pear vinegrette was light but flavorful. A great place to go for lunch AND a quick vacation.
On Sunday Oct 11, there will be a Mustang car show at the Ventura Marina hosted by Tri-County Mustang Club. I’m not a car buff but I enjoy looking at these great old cars. For information on the club contact my friend Nora at tcmustangclub.org
